EMAIL INNOVATION – American Express London Restaurant Festival Dynamic content that recognised the user need, and prompted unplanned meal occasions. When viewed on mobile, each email, every time it was opened or reopened, identified the recipient’s current location and included an interactive map of restaurants nearby. Then one click to view menus, choose a venue and reserve. Over a series of communications, in addition to geo-targeting we included similar live email streaming to remind Cardmembers of exclusive events, countdown the time remaining to take up the offer, and relay festival news from social platforms in real time. Results (compared to previous year): 38% response to festival comms / Highest ever volume of pre-registration / +400% Cardmembers eating out twice or more / +11% in card transactions / 100% pre-booked capacity at exclusive Amex festival events.
